Alkalosis, hypercalcaemia, acid rebound, milk alkali syndrome or constipation.

Drug Interactions

Concomitant use w/ H₂-antihistaminics, tetracyclines, digoxin, fluoroquinolone, Fe salt, ketoconazole, neuroleptics, thyroxine, penicillamine, β-blockers, glucocorticoid, chloroquine & diphosphonates.
